Antigua is known as 'the gateway to the Caribbean' and is the largest of the Leeward Islands. The island is some 18 miles (28km) in diameter, 108 square miles (280 square kilometres) in area and has a population of 80,000.
The island has a stunning rugged coastline, dotted with hidden bays, beautiful coral reefs and 365 white sand beaches - one for every day of the year! There are numerous historic sites on the island as well as a huge choice of fantastic sport and leisure activities.
The temperatures remain in the mid-70s to high 80s year round with cooling breezes.
