Beach
"Towels will appear for you, as if invisibly, at the point of need. Try to move your own sunbeds and hands will appear to help you. Drinks will be offered just when you were thinking you might like one..."
A single umbrella stands open on the beach casting a shadow on the small table and two white-cushioned lounge chairs that rest beneath it. Plush, coffee-coloured towels are draped across the chairs, falling just inches from the powder white sand that stretches as far as the eye can see in either direction. A member of staff appears with a stainless steel ice bucket glistening with drops of condensation, the telling gold wrap of a Champagne bottle betraying its contents.
Moments later a young couple emerges from one of the beachfront cottages. As if the only two in the resort, they stroll towards the sun loungers, dropping a beach bag on one as they walk past. After dipping their toes in the cool Caribbean waters, they return to their chairs and graciously accept the bubbling glass of champagne that is offered. With a smile, the staff member rests two chilled hand towels on the table before leaving. It is as if they are the only two in the world; that is until the beach attendant re-appears with a plate of fresh exotic fruits.
From their base at the far end of the beach, the water sports staff are always on hand. Noted for their engaging personalities and zest for life, they "truly love their jobs and enjoy whisking you away on a motorboat" to explore the nearby bays. With a number of remote, unspoilt beaches around the luxury spa resort, one of the more popular excursions is the "deserted island experience" – albeit complete with picnic lunch, sun umbrella and "rescue" at your leisure.
